Where are the once Great Sweater Forums? - Fur Fashion Guide forums and photo galleries

Where do Sweater Fetishers go now days?

Like many of you when I first logged on to the World Wide Web and searched for the word “sweater fetish” my heart was pounding with excitement when I saw what was returned. The forums, the picture collections site, the clubs, some pay, some free and best of all many had links to all the other known sites. I was like a kid in a candy store or more like an adolescent finding Dad’s stash of Girly Mags .

The best of these sites with a great combination of forums and picture collections was Melody Ohair and later Woolfreaks. When I logged onto the computer each day one of my first visits was to these two sites just to catch up on all the new post. With talk then that the WWW would double in size every few years the possibilities of new and better sites were endless. But I’m not seeing it.

The great forums are gone, and what’s left like this one, show very little activity . The Fur fetish forum is staying pretty active, but not so for the sweater forum. Anyone else seeing the same thing? Or are their new web sites that the sweater fans are flocking too that I haven’t found yet?

Well when geocities shut down millions of websites of all kinds went into the website graveyards, what is a major shame is social networking sites have changed up the playing field and many just stopped in general.

The way I see it this forum and fetishpix could easily be the replacement of the sites mentioned...

The problem isn't really the forums though. The development I have seen since the beginning is fewer and fewer contributors of interesting content.

Sure it's fine that some guys are scavenging the net for clips and images of girl/couples/guys in sweaters but I miss contributions from the real sweaterlovers... Actual sweater-action made by sweater-fetishists.

I have posted quite a bit of content over the years and so have maybe 10-15 others. Most of these guys have disappeared or gone inactive as the majority wasn't really backing it up or trying to make an effort to contribute themselves.

I am not placing blame or pointing fingers. I just conclude that our fetish is small and the ones willing to share their work a dying breed...

I'm hoping a new generation of us will emerge and change this situation. Hoping!

I really miss Woolfreaks.de - that seemed to be the most user generated content site.

I think that's the best assessment of the issue that I've read. We (FFG) do admittedly focus on fur more than anything here, but Cookie offered up forum space for the sweater lovers, as there seems to be so much crossover in the fetishes between fur & sweater (especially with mohair & angora). Unfortunately, a community is made up of individuals, and they, ultimately, will make-or-break a community, especially on-line.

I, for one, hope for a resurgence of sweater-lovers here at FFG, but it's up to them to come here and contribute.

Thanks for the fetishpix tip. I tried regerstering with them before but had problems. It works now after using a different e-mail address, and you are right, it is quite active.

It would be great if Cookie restored the archive of sweaterparadise as a subforum or incorporated them into this forum. That would provide an excellent catalyst for the wool subsection of the FFG to take off!
